Jalur Ungu (Violet Line) di angkutan cepat Delhi merupakan jalur angkutan cepat beroperasi antara Sekretariat Sentral dan Badarpur di Delhi, India, dibuka pada 3 Oktober 2010. Jalur ini berjarak 20,16 kilometer (12,53 mi) dengan jumlah 16 stasiun dan dioperasikan oleh Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. Pada peta sistem Metro, jalur ini berwarna ungu.

Jalur Ungu menggunakan kereta lebar standar yang diproduksi oleh sebuah konsorsium dari Mitsubishi-ROTEM-BEML. Sebanyak 196 mobil untuk Jalur Ungu dan Jalur Hijau diperintahkan, yang direncanakan untuk berjalan di konfigurasi 4-mobil (46 kereta api) dan konfigurasi 6-mobil (2 kereta api). Satu kereta api diproduksi di Changwon di Korea Selatan dan sisanya kereta api diproduksi di fasilitas BEML di Bengaluru. Lebar kereta api ini adalah 2,9 meter dibandingkan dengan 3,2 meter di kereta lebar mengukur.^[2]

Sejarah

• 3 Oktober 2010: Bagian pertama Jalur Ungu dibuka antara Sekretariat Sentral dan Sarita Vihar (15 kilometer (9,3 mi), 13 stasiun).
• 14 Januari 2011: Jalur tersebut diperpanjang dari Sarita Vihar hingga Badarpur (5,16 kilometer (3,21 mi), 3 stasiun).

Pembangunan ekstensi

Dalam Tahap III, Jalur Ungu diharapkan akan diperpanjang lebih jauh ke utara dari stasiun Sekretariat Sentral dengan 6,8 km. 6 stasiun baru akan dibangun untuk memperluas jalur ini ke Red Fort dan Kashmere Gate. Stasiun di ekstensi ini diharapkan akan:^[4]
