Trombin

Trombin adalah sejenis glikoprotein yang dibentuk oleh dan disimpan dalam hati. Sekresi protrombin ke dalam plasma darah terjadi karena stimulasi dari tromboplastin dan ion kalsium pada proses koagulasi. Dalam proses tersebut, protrombin kemudian dikonversi menjadi trombin oleh protrombinase. Lebih lanjut, trombin akan mengkonversi fibrinogen menjadi fibrin.
