• 13 Juli 1894: Didirikan sebagai Vikariat Apostolik Nil Hulu dari Vikariat Apostolik Victoria–Nyanza
• 10 Mei 1951: Berganti nama sebagai Vikariat Apostolik Tororo
• 25 Maret 1953: Dipromosikan sebagai Keuskupan Tororo
• 2 Januari 1999: Dipromosikan sebagai Keuskupan Agung Metropolitan Tororo
