Henry Lerolle

Henry Lerolle (3 Oktober 1848 – 22 April 1929) adalah seorang pelukis Prancis, kolektor seni dan pelindung, lahir di Paris. Ia belajar di Académie Suisse dan di studio Louis Lamothe.

Karyanya dipamerkan di Paris Salon pada tahun 1868, 1885, dan 1895. Pada tahun 1889 Lerolle melukis mural The Crowning of Science dan The Teaching of Science di Htel de Ville, Paris. Dia melukis Penerbangan ke Mesir di Sorbonne, dan juga melakukan pekerjaan di Schola Cantorum (pendirian tempat dia terlibat), dan gereja St. Martin des Champs, keduanya di Paris. Lerolle diangkat menjadi Chevalier, Légion d'honneur pada tahun 1889.^[1]

Lukisan Lerolle berada dalam koleksi Museum Seni Metropolitan, Museum Seni Rupa, Boston, Musée d'Orsay dan Museum Seni Rupa San Francisco .
