Harry Edward Melling lahir pada 17 Maret[1][2] 1989 di London, Inggris.[3][4] Kakek dari pihak ibunya adalah aktor Patrick Troughton.[5] Ia belajar di London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.[2][6]
