Trombon adalah alat musik tiup logam. Seperti pada alat musik tiup logam lainnya, suara dihasilkan dengan menggetarkan bibir.

Kata trombon diambil dari bahasa Itali tromba (trompet) dan -one (akhiran yang berarti besar), maka secara bahasa tulis arti trombon adalah "trompet besar".

Pemain trombon disebut trombonis.
