Eugenio Novikoff Sales, (Chinese name-Sa Kim-Long) was born in Macau( China)at 27 December 1960.
His father being macanese and his Mother from Russia (White Russian).
He was six years old when he wen to live in Mozambique (Africa), wich country he left days only before the independence from Portugal.
He then setle in Portugal for tree years, after wich he return to Macau.
In Mocambique he was very fong of the black mahogay scuplture of Mocambique artist and he frequently visited the museums of black art.
As a child, I started to manifest an inclinat to arts, drawing and painting became my toys.
My Father really suportd my arts.
My dad brought all the paintings materials I needed always.
Now his two beautyfull daugthers Silvia & Susana are his dayle life inspiration to paint.
I started to do paintings seriously in Macau in 1978, and my first solo painting exhibition officialy was held at the Museum Luis de Camoes(now Museu Arte Macau} in 1980 (20 year of age), and in 1981 the same exhibition was held in Hong-Kong Arts Centre,that year is also the start of my international experience as a worldwide artist.
My works of art are represented in private as well also officially in Macau, Hong-Kong, Portugal, many citys in China, Asia and Europe etc.
One day the Mocambique famous painter Mr. Malangatana came Macau and exactly the same time my solo exhibition was in show at the Macau turism department,and he when to see it with a official member of Macau, and what was Malangatana suprise to know that I was a local artist, He thought that the painting exhibition on display was from his native land.I always knew in my head that one day I was to be a painter...And in 2008 Eugenio Novikoff Sales was Officialy invited (only artist in Macau) by Beijing to participated in the Beijing Olimpic Fine Arts Exhibition, representing Macau together with more than 80 countries!.Now he is a member of the prestigious OFAA-OLIMPIC FINE ART ASSOCIATION.
