Giovanni Battista Morgagni (25 Februari 1682 – 6 Desember 1771) adalah seorang pakar anatomi Italia. Ia umum disebut sebagai bapak patologi anatomi modern yang mengajarkan ribuan murid kedokteran dari banyak negara selama 56 tahun sebagai Profesor Anatomi di Universitas Padova.
Sebelum dia lama berada di Padua, para mahasiswa yang berasal Jerman, dari semua fakultas di sana, memilihnya sebagai pelindung mereka, dan Morgagni menasihati dan membantu mereka dalam pembelian sebuah rumah untuk menjadi perpustakaan dan markas klub Jerman, untuk selamanya. A biography of Morgagni by Mosca was published at Naples in 1768. His life may also be read in Angelo Fabroni's Vitae illustr. Italor., and a convenient abridgment of Fabroni's memoir will be found prefixed to Tissot's edition of the De sedibus, etc. A collected edition of his works was published at Venice in 5 vols. folio, in 1765.
